My future job

Imagen
Hi, everyone In today's blog I want to talk to you about the job that I would like to have. I would love to work as a costume designer in a theater company with my friends. I like the idea of working with my friends in our own company because we could do whatever we wanted, without the need for directors or actors, we would have complete freedom to create plays and performances.  The good thing about being a Performance Designer is that I can work both in theaters or on the street, but, I think that if I had to choose a specific space it would be outside, on the street, because thay way much more people could have access to experience cultural activities.  Of course I would like to travel a lot, I think it would be very fun to collaborate with artists from different parts of the world, because I could learn other ways of making art. I am aware that my profession will not give me a good salary, but the truth is I don't care, I like what I do and I would not change ir for ...

The ugly truth of my career :(

Hi everyone! Today I want to share with you the ugly truth of my career. I am studying Performance Desing, and I love it, but it is definitely a very stressul career. To start this post I will tell you about my worst experience so far in the career. This happened the first semester of my second year, in the most important class I have. I had to submit a design for the play "The Tempest" by William Shakespeare and the creation process was horrible, I never understood the play and every time I presented something to my professor, like costumes ideas or scenographies it was wrong so I felt very frustrated and sad. The worst part is that I didn’t like what I   ended up presenting. I have also had bad experiences with teachers, the worst was in a theater history class, the teacher never organized what he was going to teach us so we ended up hearing the same thing in all the classes and it was very boring. I generally don't sleep as much as I would like, I sleep 5...

Summer

Hi there! In today’s blog I’m going to talk about my favorite time of the year: Summer! I love summer, but not in Santiago, it’s too hot , instead I like to go to my grandparent's house, they live near to San Fernando in a small town called Roma. I love going to their house because I can spend time with my cousin who lives with them (she is like my sister). Usually we swim in the pool or go to the hill, where there is a small river, the only problema is that we have to walk a lot to get there. Sometimes, if we are too tired we stay at home watching movies and cooking something we like. I couldn’t choose a single favorite memory. I like to go on vacation and each one is different but always very entertaining! My plan for this summer is to work, because I need the money to be able to travel the following summer. I still don’t know what I’ll work on but I hope I like it. Thanks for reading, have a nice weekend.                  ...

Ahuenco

Hi there!  In today's blog I'll talk about my favorite vacations. During the summer of 2014 I went to a beautiful place called Ahuenco, which is located in Chiloe.  Ahuenco is a private reserve but it's quite similar to a national park. The  idea of this reserve is to preserve the natural state of the place, so there is no electricity or drinking water and we had to bring all the food because there were no places to buy. I went with my whole family, my parents, my uncles and aunts and all my cousins.  We were there for two  weeks and did different activities, my favorites were walking through the woods and swimming on the beach even though the water was freezing, you could even see penguins!   These were my favorite vacations because, as I told you before my whole family was there and the place is one of the most beautiful I've seen, also there were many animals besides penguins such as sea lions, pudus, foxes and many types of birds.  ...

Denmark

Hi!  In this post i’m going to talk  about a place I’d like to visit, Denmark, wich is a Nordic country in Northen Europe. I’d love to visit this place because it has beautiful  landscapes and also amazing museusms. The lenguage they speak is Danish, unfortunately i don´t speak this lenguage but I’m pretty sure I’ll be fine if I speak English. Some things I know about Denmark is that is the country of Hans Christian Andersen, a famous writer who was born in 1805. He wrote fairy tales like “The Little Mermaid” or “The Emperor’s New Clothes”. Also Denmark is a very cold country, usually the average temperature in winter  is 0.5°C, so if you go there you would have to wear clothes that keep you warm. I’d would like to visit the capital, Copenhagen, because here you can find the sculpture of The Little Mermaid as well as The Cisterns in S øndermarken , this is an underground museum featuring beautiful glass art from Denmark . I hope I can visit this amazing country soon....
